HBL   The Harry Binswanger List

October is Campus Club Trial Month

Every fall the Harry Binswanger List (HBL) has an annual promotion for ARI-sanctioned campus clubs. We have designated October to be "campus club trial month." All campus clubs are eligible for a free trial in October, regardless of whether the club has previously subscribed to HBL.

HBL has always offered a special deal to campus clubs. Full-time students who are members of an ARI-sanctioned campus club can share one full-price subscription to HBL. Each individual recipient must agree with the HBL Loyalty oath.

In order to participate in the free trial in October, your club needs to set up a club email address which HBL can send to. The club is responsible for maintaining the list of recipients and forwarding the mail to each of them.

Please note that no one has the right to forward HBL messages to any sort of bulletin board or store them in a group archive. Therefore, most clubs simply set up an automatic list-server to forward the mail. Smaller clubs sometimes simply share a yahoo account, changing the password as needed, to limit access.

The free trial does not include the right to post to the list.

No sharing of subscriptions is allowed, except for within the club itself. However, you can let other people read posts on your computer screen. If you want a post forwarded to someone else, you should send us his email address and the post you wish forwarded, and we will forward it.

The HBL is $145/year or $14/month. Once the club pays for a subscription, all the members can send posts to the list. All HBL correspondence should be sent to hblist@hblist.com . Please note that each member should identify himself with his full name, not just his email address. Further information on posting is at: http://www.hblist.com/howpost.htm

We hope you will take advantage of this free offer. HBL is a source of discussion topics for meetings, and a source of sharing ideas with long-time Objectivists. We think a shared subscription will be a real asset to your club.

Note: If your club doesn't subscribe in October, you can have a free trial later in the school year, but only 20 days are guaranteed.
